What exactly is green-living?
Green living is a lifestyle that tries to balance the conservation and preservation of the Earth´s natural resources, habitats and biodiversity with human culture and communities.
Green living can be defined as an overall approach to life that includes several aspects like:
- Eating healthy with nutritious, safe and non chemical laden foods.
- Protecting our health and being aware of our everyday environment.
- Preserving the earth by avoiding destruction of the planet from things that make our life easier and always looking for the greenest way to get things done.
- Preferring experiences over things sharing them with people who really matter.
We must remember our trash can be someone else´s treasure. It´s very important to recycle, and to reuse those things we think are trash!
In buildings, there´s also a green concept and many luxury towers had adapted it to their structures, how?
By finding the balance between homebuilding and the sustainable environment.
Each aspect of the designs are carefully thought out to save water, reduce energy needs, and promote the wellness of its residents. Besides the construction industry is responsible for generating around 40% to 50% of carbon emissions globally
On the other hand, the rental industry is considering this sustainable way of living very important because more their clients are choosing green apartments every day.
For office buildings, green buildings in higher demand because the big financial companies want that sort of space and large retail companies such as H&M are more conscious about energy efficiency.
In the case of logistic companies, they have strong green requirements. Although, property owners have little influence in how buildings are used, the truth is, more and more important companies and tenants prefer this kind of building as they are conscious on how it can positively impact the planet.
So, it is possible to create a balance between our way of living and our environment. Respecting the earth and doing our best to preserve nature.
